Spokesperson: VEB met with Kushner during 2016 roadshows
MOSCOW, Mar 28 (PRIME) -- State development bank Vnesheconombank (VEB) met with the largest U.S., European and Asian banks and firms, including Jared Kushner, CEO of Kushner Companies and a son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump, during a road show presenting the bank’s new development strategy in 2016, a VEB spokesperson told PRIME late on Monday.
“The existing business practices of foreign development banks and the industry’s outlooks and trends were discussed during the negotiations,” the spokesperson said.
“The meetings were held a format of road shows presenting Vnesheconombank’s development strategy until 2021 with the largest banks and the U.S. business commumity, including head of Kushner Companies Jared Kushner.”
The New York Times Magazine reported on Monday that the U.S. senators investigating “Russian ties” of the U.S. President were interested in the mass media information that Kushner had met with VEB CEO Sergei Gorkov in December.
